Undisclosed Location - Portsmouth

Investigated 04th August 2007

Revisited 22nd October 2007

Arundel Town Hall and Jail

Overview

Having investigated previously another location similar to this CaSPIR were privileged to have been asked to investigate this extremely historical location. The main building of this site is a Grade 2 listed building and the location area itself goes back to the 12th century when it was an Augustine Priory, and this venue played an extremely important role during WW11, including the planning of D-Day, when it housed General Eisenhower and the Army Commander-in-Chief, General Montgomery and their Staffs.

The main building itself was a family run home for many years which had its share of misfortune, enduring a massive fire gutting the main building.

Previous Reported Activity

  • Heavy bolted fire door becoming unlocked on several occasions on its own
  • Dogs reacting strangely in certain areas
  • Noises heard and unaccounted for by builders while working on location
  • Figure seen walking near main building

We regret that we cannot offer a full report on this location at present.
