Leave The Place As You Found It
Leave The Place as You Found It This is something which at first seems a little obvious and hardly worth mentioning, but if overlooked can cost you the location itself. As the person who sources all the CaSPIR venues I have tired of contacting locations to hear them say “Oh no, we don’t take groups anymore because the last group left a right mess and disrespected the place”. This saddens me greatly as it doesn’t take any time at all to do this. This section needs no advice other than to please do it! It should be a rule of your group that everyone takes all their own rubbish home with them and tidies up behind themselves before leaving, so that venues will be impressed with your conduct and not only welcome you back but other groups too. The other thing to bear in mind is your surroundings. This should be done as part of the risk assessment, checking to see if there is anything breakable lying around or if there are items not to be touched etc. Little things like this show respect and gain your group trust and a good reputation you can carry through your investigating life. Good Luck!
