The Evidence

The following files have been recorded by members of CaSPIR UK on previous investigations of the Hautboy Inn and Restaurant. All these files are genuine and
have not been doctored in anyway whatsoever.
In most cases it is advisable that you use headphones on audio and video files for greater clarity.

Photographic Evidence (Pre CaSPIR)

Photo 1 - This photo was taken by Caz during an investigation prior to the birth of CaSPIR UK. It was taken in the Augusta Room and appears to show a face in the window

This is a great example of a phenomenon called Paradolia. This is best described as the brain  trying to make a face out of a trick of the light. Other examples of this phenomena are faces in the clouds, rock faces, flames of a fire even slices of toast are all examples.

Audio Evidence (9th April 2006)

Track 1 - Recorded in the 'Millbank' room using a Sony TCM-200DV Analogue recorder.
Caz commented during the vigil that she could hear a woman sobbing, others reported to hearing it but not as vivid as Caz. When we analysed the recording from the vigil the phenomena appears to have been confirmed.

Track 2 - Recorded in the 'Augusta' room using a Sony TCM-200DV Analogue recorder.
During this vigil there were 4 people present, Caz (originally from London), another female (from Sussex), Dave (from Surrey) and Doug (from Scotland). The reason why I've explained where everyone is from is because after reviewing our recordings of this vigil, we discovered a 5th voice which is whispered louder than we were speaking; this voice has a North English accent. We have left this piece intentionally long so you can hear the other voices and the volume levels of each.

This photograph illustrates a light anomaly which appears to be in motion and is oddly shaped. Normally we often see pictures like this where the usual suspects such as dust, moisture or static charges have been ignored just because the shape is different. A second photograph was taken by Doug seconds later using a Cannon 300DS revealing nothing. This is a common occurrence with so called orbs, there has been much research done on dust, moisture, cameras and various lighting conditions the answer is that cameras an humans are too easily deceived.
